My parents had immigrated to the US from Morocco, and I was one of many siblings. A proper large immigrant family like you see in the movies. I didn\u2019t take my first trip overseas until I was 18, and yes, it was with my entire family. That trip changed everything, and I got the travel tingles.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>However, it wasn\u2019t until many years later that I took my second trip, now riding solo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After college, I got a job on a sales team and didn\u2019t take time off for two years. I kept telling myself that I needed more money and that it just wasn\u2019t the right time to travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I was utterly stuck in the work hamster wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Until one day, something came over me and I just couldn\u2019t go into work. I couldn\u2019t take the pressure, the constant need to improve, and the competitive environment. I guess that\u2019s what you call \u2018burnout\u2019 today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So, I requested my first-ever time off and took a holiday to the only destination I\u2019d ever been to. Given the country\u2019s history with France and French influence, we combined the French with Moroccan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In French<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Terre\u2019 means: Earth or land<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Maroc\u2019 means: Morocco<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we met in Morocco, we stayed at the same hostel. We were either taking a break from work, looking for adventures or traveling for years. What we had in common was a love for travel, a love for the nomad lifestyle, and a need for a break from everyday life.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We shared our stories, pitfalls, and travel tips with one another. The more we talked and spent time together, the more we realized how much we had to share.\u00a0 After only a few days of exploring the area together, we decided we had something. Most of the year he spends travelling and exploring the most beautiful places this world has to offer.
